A major work of his is the statue of Alexander of Macedon, which is on display at the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo. Another significant work is the sculpture of Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, located in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Copier also produced abstract sculptures, and his works were exhibited throughout Europe as well as in the United States. He was awarded several awards for his work, including the Pieter de Gijsel Prize for Sculpture in 1960 and the Royal Dutch Academy Award in 1966.
