Treehaus NYC High-end Eatery is an innovative culinary establishment that revolutionizes the traditional dining experience by integrating food, art, and found objects into a unique urban foraging landscape. Designed by Chief designer Ji Rook Kim of UnSPACE, this 10,041-square-foot space transforms the conventional restaurant paradigm through its distinctive architectural elements and thoughtful spatial organization. The design features three primary components: a dramatic installation of 20-foot-high cedar wood planks, a sculptural white rectangular vessel, and a series of angled wood planks on the mezzanine level, all deliberately configured to conceal various dining functions while creating an engaging journey of discovery for guests. The minimalist treatment of raw materials allows for natural aging, reinforcing the urban foraging concept while establishing a sophisticated aesthetic environment. This architectural approach not only enhances the dining experience but also optimizes operational efficiency through a carefully curated menu selection, resulting in improved food quality and customer satisfaction. The design's excellence was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial organization and its successful integration of artistic elements with functional dining requirements.
