Arnold Eagle is an American artist best known for his modernist painting. Born in New York City in 1912, Eagle first studied at the National Academy of Design and then continued to hone his craft at The Art Students League of New York. His abstract works are heavily influenced by the abstract expressionist movement, utilizing broad strokes and vivid colors. Eagle's most famous works include The Red Chariot (1948), The Orange Dice (1956), and The Blue Galaxy (1966). He is featured in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, among others.
