Beauty United Space Salon is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the traditional beauty salon concept through a distinctive transportation-themed spatial narrative. Located in Wuhan, China, this 220-square-meter commercial space masterfully integrates abstract bus elements into its design language, creating a unique and immersive beauty experience. The salon's design philosophy centers on delivering an economical, convenient, and customer-friendly environment, reflected through its sophisticated use of materials including prefabricated terrazzo panels, mirrored stainless steel, and cement tiles. The space is characterized by dynamic color collisions derived from brand identity elements, while incorporating modernized interpretations of bus-related motifs to create visually striking focal points. The innovative customer journey involves receiving a ticket key upon entry, followed by beauty services, and concludes with a digital photo experience stored in cloud storage, creating an engaging parallel to the experience of taking the bus. This groundbreaking approach to salon design, developed by John Sun and Renee Zhu, earned recognition with a Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to commercial interior design.
