All Here Mobile Application

All Here Mobile Application is an innovative virtual social platform designed to facilitate and maintain intimate relationships across long distances through immersive digital experiences. Developed by designers Chengbo Li and Huicong Hu, this iOS-based application addresses the contemporary challenges of maintaining close relationships during periods of physical separation, such as during epidemic lockdowns or geographical constraints. The platform implements a sophisticated framework based on 6 Strategies of Mediating Intimate Relationships, incorporating elements such as emotional expression, gesture interaction, common tasks, and interactive memories. Users can create personalized avatars and virtual rooms, enabling a more tangible sense of presence and connection. The application features advanced functionalities including schedule synchronization, mood sharing, symbolic interactions, and customizable gesture-based communication methods, such as heartbeat sharing and personalized vibration patterns. Through its user-centered design approach, the platform facilitates meaningful interactions by automatically documenting shared experiences in a memory collection, enabling joint task creation, and providing visual representations of common free time between friends. The project, which was developed between October 2021 and January 2022, earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to digital social connection. The design process involved extensive research, including situational interviews, user experience measurements, and heuristic evaluations, resulting in a comprehensive solution that bridges the gap between physical distance and emotional proximity in the digital age.
