Children Papers Chair Drawing Chair

Children Papers Chair Drawing chair is an innovative furniture design that reimagines the traditional children's seating and drawing experience through a sophisticated integration of functionality and memory preservation. This multifunctional piece, designed by Charlotte Friis from Denmark, represents a thoughtful solution to storing and celebrating children's artistic expressions while serving as an interactive piece of furniture. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Baby, Kids and Children's Products Design category, features a distinctive paper roll system that allows children aged three to eight to create and archive their artwork seamlessly. The chair's construction showcases meticulous attention to detail, incorporating a solid wood back support finished with white lacquer and an ingenious metal resort system that facilitates paper movement. With the capacity to store up to 400 meters of drawings, this chair transforms into a comprehensive archive of a child's creative development over approximately five years. The design's versatility allows children to use it either as a traditional seat or as a drawing board by standing and facing the back support. Originally conceived as part of the Storytelling Furniture collection, the design draws inspiration from the simple form of a toilet roll, elevating this mundane reference into a sophisticated solution for preserving childhood memories. The chair's technical specifications include a 370mm diameter paper roll and a back support measuring 650x380x15mm, while the metal arms extending 380mm ensure smooth operation of the rolling mechanism. This design addresses the common parental challenge of preserving children's artwork while creating an engaging, interactive space that encourages creative expression.
