Yunyang in Huanan Exhibition Center is a sophisticated landscape architectural project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of traditional water town culture with contemporary design principles, situated in the South China section of Dan-yang High-tech Zone. This Gold A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2020, encompasses 4,693 square meters of thoughtfully designed space that celebrates the region's rich cultural heritage while incorporating innovative design elements. The center's most distinctive feature is its innovative water line concept that flows throughout the site plan, paying homage to Danyang's historical water culture while transforming it from a purely commercial element into a social connector with nature. The design incorporates translucent glass walls extending nineteen meters in length, forming elegant arc walls that required precise engineering to achieve both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. The space features a mirror water courtyard that serves as an accessible public area, complemented by art sculptures and illuminated elements that create dynamic interplays of light and shadow. The landscape design includes multi-level water features, a leaf-shaped platform, and extensive planting schemes that work in concert to create various spatial experiences. The project's sophisticated lighting design, particularly evident at night, creates an enchanting atmosphere where glass walls and water features interact to produce mesmerizing reflections and shadows, symbolizing the convergence of past and present in this modern interpretation of traditional water town aesthetics.
