AT WILL Residential house is an innovative residential interior design project located in central Taipei, distinguished by its harmonious fusion of raw architectural elements and refined design details. The 192-square-meter apartment, situated on the eighth floor, masterfully integrates the original cement ceiling as a foundational design element, creating a sophisticated interplay between industrial aesthetics and contemporary luxury. The design philosophy centers on the concept of a hotel-like living experience, emphasizing flexible spatial arrangements and unobstructed traffic flow patterns that radiate from the central living area. The project's distinctive features include a customized trellis glass display case showcasing the resident's Lego collection, and a modular sofa system that enables free-form arrangement, embodying the project's namesake philosophy of living at will. The interior scheme thoughtfully incorporates materials such as veneer, spray paint, glass, iron pieces, marble, and imported tiles, while maintaining a cohesive gray color palette that extends the visual impact of the exposed cement ceiling. Completed in 2014, this Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category exemplifies excellence in residential interior design through its innovative space utilization, strategic placement of the kitchen island to enhance social interaction, and the masterful integration of broad window views that capture the urban skyline, even from private spaces such as the bathroom.
