Literkolekcja Photobook is a comprehensive photographic documentation project that explores the diverse manifestations of typographic expression in public spaces worldwide, presented in a meticulously crafted photobook format. This innovative publication, designed by Aleksandra Toborowicz, features 383 photographs across 416 pages, documenting various forms of lettering, typography, and calligraphy found in urban environments, from street signs and street art to industrial design and advertising installations. The photobook, measuring 16.5 x 16.5 centimeters, employs Swiss binding technology, enabling flat layout viewing for optimal photograph appreciation. Distinguished by its unique design approach, the book incorporates a distinctive cover featuring a table of contents that extends through the spine and beyond the bleed, while deliberately preserving typographic imperfections in text reproductions to reflect the authentic nature of documented letterforms. The raw, unfiltered aesthetic of the photographs maintains the genuine character of typography across different cultures, encompassing both professional designs and spontaneous letter expressions.
