Luxe Lounge

Luxe Lounge is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of tranquility and urban sophistication in the heart of Japan's largest entertainment district, Shinjuku Kabukicho. This meticulously crafted hospitality space, designed by Takahiro Todoroki, represents a significant achievement in creating an oasis of calm within a bustling metropolitan environment. The design philosophy centers on establishing a striking contrast between the exterior's vibrant energy and the interior's serene atmosphere, achieved through thoughtful material selection and sophisticated spatial planning. The lounge features distinctive architectural elements, including steel frameworks complemented by indirect lighting, creating iconic visual elements throughout the main floor. The design incorporates innovative material applications, such as beaten metal plates in the VIP room that reflect shimmering light, and black mirrors strategically placed in aisles and walls to enhance spatial perception. The subfloor area presents a dramatic shift in ambiance, featuring an artistic arrangement of neon-integrated artwork, while colorful floral arrangements provide organic accents within the predominantly inorganic space. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates exceptional attention to lighting design, with carefully calibrated illumination levels that ensure guest privacy while maintaining the space's sophisticated atmosphere. The design successfully creates a borderless, internationally appealing environment that caters to both domestic and international clientele, offering an extraordinary escape from the urban intensity that surrounds it.
