A Space Temporary Showroom

A Space Temporary Showroom is an innovative architectural intervention and retail design project located in Berlin Mitte, exemplifying the sophisticated transformation of an industrial space into a contemporary commercial environment. This remarkable interior design achievement, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully combines raw industrial elements with refined modern aesthetics to create a unique spatial experience. The showroom, spanning approximately 300 square meters of floor space within a 400-square-meter envelope, features an impressive 8-meter ceiling height that pays homage to its original function as a theatre screen. The design philosophy embraces a deliberate contrast between rough, edgy industrial elements and elegant, sophisticated furnishings, incorporating exposed brick walls that retain historical repair traces, dark-oiled industrial palettes transformed into premium upholstered seating, and black steel tables that add contemporary sophistication. Notable design elements include up to five-meter-long thread curtains serving as space dividers, an Aleppo pine bar, and a distinctive light bulb installation forming an A shape, reminiscent of 1920s cinema advertising. The space efficiently serves its primary function as a real estate showroom through thoughtfully designed presentation areas, including a welcoming city map at the entrance, building models, floor plans, and dedicated consultation zones, all while maintaining a careful balance between industrial heritage and modern luxury, achieved within strict budget and time constraints.
