Chinar Lounge Bar Dining is an innovative hospitality design concept that reimagines the traditional Central Asian tea house through a contemporary lens, situated in Baku, Azerbaijan. This sophisticated 1400-square-meter establishment represents a harmonious fusion of pan-Asian dining culture and modern luxury, drawing inspiration from the Oriental plane tree (Platanus orientalis) that holds cultural significance in the region. The design, created by British designer Henry Chebaane, masterfully integrates elements from the ancient Silk Road's cultural tapestry, featuring multiple dining spaces including a restaurant, sushi bar, dual cocktail bars, private dining rooms, and a shisha garden. The interior design showcases meticulous attention to detail through custom-designed elements such as smoked bamboo parquet and specialized carpeting that evokes tree bark patterns intertwined with dragon motifs, while bespoke green leather furniture textures mirror natural elements. The space employs advanced technological features, including DMX protocol lighting systems and custom algorithms for atmospheric control, alongside innovative elements such as a specialized tea station producing theatrical fog effects and low-resolution video screens creating abstract fire patterns. This award-winning design, recognized with a Golden A' Design Award in the Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design category, exemplifies excellence in spatial design, cultural sensitivity, and innovative hospitality concepts, successfully elevating the traditional tea house concept to meet contemporary international standards while preserving its cultural essence.
