Vortex Jewellery Collection is an innovative contemporary jewelry design series that bridges the gap in luxury male jewelry while maintaining a gender-neutral appeal through its modern architectural aesthetic. Created by designers Leonid Krykthin and Meng Zhang, this sophisticated collection draws inspiration from abstract lines in modern architecture, particularly emphasizing the dynamic interplay between straight lines and curves, while incorporating elements of Chinese Yin and Yang philosophy to achieve harmonious forms. The collection comprises multiple pieces including a mask crafted from carbon fiber and brass with 18ct gold plating, as well as rings, a brooch, and a cuff made from silver with black rhodium plating and sand blast surface treatment. Each piece functions both as wearable jewelry and as an individual sculptural art object, showcasing the marriage of contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. The collection's development utilized advanced digital modeling software such as Rhino and Maya, combined with 3D printing technology for prototyping before final casting. This innovative approach to jewelry design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Jewelry Design category, acknowledging its contribution to contemporary jewelry design. The collection stands out for its customizable material options and versatile styling possibilities, allowing wearers to express their individual identity through sophisticated geometric shapes and modern artistic sensibilities.
