The 165-square-meter residence showcases innovative interior design solutions that address the challenges of limited light and restricted space through strategic architectural interventions. The design's cornerstone features include the replacement of a traditional reinforced concrete staircase with an open steel structure featuring timber treads, complemented by a glass walkway that facilitates the transmission of natural light between floors. The interior scheme employs a sophisticated material palette combining warm white walls, neutral tiles, stone benchtops, and enamel plates, enhanced by pandomo cement flooring that creates a harmonious backdrop for timber cabinetry and colorful accent pieces. The spatial reconfiguration positions the living room, kitchen, and dining areas in a centralized arrangement, promoting enhanced social interaction while establishing a clear delineation between communal spaces on the lower level and private areas above.
