Zhuyeqing Tea Store Retail Space is an innovative retail interior design project that exemplifies the seamless integration of traditional Chinese tea culture with contemporary spatial design principles. Located in Sichuan, China, this 104-square-meter retail environment employs a distinctive house within a house concept that recreates the authentic atmosphere of Chengdu's traditional tea-drinking culture. The design, which earned a Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully incorporates local architectural elements and cultural symbolism through its thoughtful use of bamboo grilles, creating an immersive experience that transports visitors into a traditional Chengdu courtyard setting. The space's architectural narrative is carefully constructed to honor the decade-long heritage of the tea brand while introducing contemporary retail functionality, featuring strategic sight lines through grille gaps that reveal neighboring brick walls and exterior views. The interior design pays particular homage to Chengdu's unique tea-drinking customs, notably through the presentation of traditional lidded teacups, effectively bridging historical practices with modern retail requirements.
