Luck Art Hotel Hotel is an innovative boutique accommodation facility located in a semi-enclosed courtyard, exemplifying a harmonious blend of contemporary design and traditional Chinese philosophy. Designed by Jian Zhang and completed in 2018, this 1000-square-meter project demonstrates a sophisticated approach to spatial design through its integration with the surrounding environment and thoughtful material selection. The design philosophy draws inspiration from Dalian's coastal landscape, incorporating elements of water, mountains, and pathways to create a poetic spatial narrative. The exterior design maintains a delicate balance between isolation and environmental integration, featuring strategic use of bamboo elements that reflect the Taoist principle of harmonious coexistence. The interior spaces are characterized by a predominantly white palette, artfully contrasted with black linear elements that define spatial boundaries and create visual rhythm. The project employs high-end materials including travertine, white marble, stainless steel, and premium plasters, while professional lighting design brings vitality to natural elements throughout the space. The hotel's innovative circulation patterns accommodate different guest demographics, and its parametric design approach achieves both visual harmony and functional efficiency. This exceptional design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2019, acknowledging its contribution to innovative hospitality design. The project successfully creates what guests have dubbed a Peach Blossom Garden within an urban context, offering a genuine retreat from city life while maintaining sophisticated aesthetic standards.
