Amara Bari Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious blend of modern aesthetics with traditional Indian cultural values, located in Kolkata, India. This 2,600-square-foot luxury apartment, designed by Principal Designer Amee Vora and Assistant Designer Arjun Gupta, masterfully addresses the contemporary challenge of multi-generational living by creating spaces that cater to both Millennial and Generation X inhabitants while adhering to the principles of collectivistic Indian society. The design philosophy embraces minimalist aesthetics through clean architectural lines and sophisticated simplicity, while incorporating Vastu compliance principles to promote harmony and prosperity. The residence encompasses three bedrooms, five bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, utility area, pooja ghar (prayer room), box room, terrace, and a multipurpose room, all thoughtfully arranged within a prestigious high-end residential development. The interior design scheme employs earthy tones and neutral shades complemented by wooden elements throughout, creating a cohesive visual narrative. Notable design features include innovative linear forms that transform across different planes, creating functional frames and surfaces executed in wood and metal, enhanced by strategic lighting installations. The project, completed over 18 months, was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2019, acknowledging its excellence in balancing modern design principles with cultural sensitivity and practical functionality.
