Created by German-based designer Miki Kawamura, this environmentally conscious design transforms the conventional single-use coffee cup paradigm by incorporating a seed bomb feature and biodegradable materials. The product consists of two primary components: an upper section containing seeds and a lower portion that functions as a coffee cup, engineered with FSC-certified cardboard and coated with biodegradable PLA (Polylactic Acid) for water resistance. The design's distinctive flat shape, measuring 138mm x 87mm, draws inspiration from drip coffee aesthetics and facilitates easy transportation. After consuming the beverage, users can repurpose the container as a plant pot by utilizing the included seeds and soil, thereby extending the product's lifecycle and reducing waste.
