Legacy, Sustainability Residence is an exemplary architectural and interior design project that masterfully integrates Chinese cultural heritage with modern sustainable living principles, completed in 2018 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. This four-story residence, spanning 165 square meters in total footprint with 66 square meters of interior space, represents a sophisticated reinterpretation of traditional Chinese architectural elements through contemporary design language. The project's distinctive approach begins with the deconstruction of traditional Chinese pitched roof forms, incorporating an open-plan interior that creates seamless visual connections with its carefully curated landscape design. The residence showcases exceptional material selection, featuring genuine rock and timber materials including masonry sheets, granite, Taiwan Cypress, and natural-looking art stones, harmoniously reflecting its geographical location at the intersection of mountains and ocean in Keelung, Northern Taiwan.
