Arca Mirror Shelf is an innovative furniture design that seamlessly integrates a functional storage solution within a full-length mirror, exemplifying the convergence of practicality and aesthetic refinement in contemporary furniture design. Created by Japanese designer Gensuke Kishi, this sophisticated piece features a steel box embedded within the mirror's surface, incorporating principles of golden and silver ratios to achieve optimal proportional harmony. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, addresses the modern necessity for efficient, multifunctional furniture solutions in daily routines. Standing at 1850mm in height, 450mm in width, and 220mm in depth, the mirror employs a sophisticated construction of steel, mirror glass, and MDF panel, with a powder-coated finish that creates an illusion of depth through carefully calibrated color variations in saturation and lightness. The structural integrity is maintained through an ingenious design where the box's bottom edge contacts the wall, providing stable support while maintaining the mirror at an ideal viewing angle.
