Cristina Celestino is an Italian architect and designer known for her innovative and poetic approach to lighting design. Born in Pordenone in 1980, Celestino graduated from the University of Architecture in Venice before establishing her own design studio, Attico Design, in Milan in 2009. Her work spans across product design, interiors, and creative direction, with a particular focus on lighting. Celestino's designs are characterized by a deep exploration of materials, forms, and colors, often drawing inspiration from nature, art, and fashion. She has collaborated with numerous renowned brands, including Fendi, Nilufar Gallery, Torremato, Billiani, and Kundalini, creating lighting collections that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. Celestino's pieces, such as the Fendi Botanica lamps and the Atomizers collection for Kundalini, showcase her ability to transform everyday objects into poetic, sculptural forms. Her work has been exhibited at prestigious design events like Milan Design Week, Maison&Objet, and AD Intérieurs, and has earned her international recognition, including the Special Jury Prize at the Salone del Mobile Milano Awards in 2016. Through her experimental and emotive approach to lighting design, Cristina Celestino continues to push the boundaries of the field, creating luminous works that evoke a sense of wonder and enchantment.
