XI'AN TDC Award (Xi'an Type Directors Club Award) was founded by the Xi'an Graphic Design Association (XGDA) in 2023. Its aim, centered around the theme of 'The World of Chinese Characters,' is to explore the aesthetic value of Chinese characters in contemporary cultural contexts and to promote their innovative development from different national, regional, and cultural perspectives. As a symbol of culture, Chinese characters have a long history and play a role far beyond that of mere linguistic symbols. XI'AN TDC Award welcomes participation from individual professional designers, groups, institutions, as well as students, and it has a dedicated children's department aimed at actively promoting the development of design education.
