Print Characters

Print characters, also known as printable characters, are a set of characters that can be displayed or printed on a computer screen or physical medium. These characters include letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and other symbols that can be typed using a keyboard or selected from a character palette. Print characters are distinct from control characters, which are used to control the behavior of a computer or communication system. The range of print characters available depends on the character encoding system used by the computer or software application. Common character encoding systems include ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange), Unicode, and ISO 8859. ASCII, which is widely used in the United States, includes 128 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, and punctuation marks. Unicode, which is used worldwide, includes over 137,000 characters, including characters from many different languages and scripts. Print characters are used in a wide range of applications, including word processing, email, web browsing, and programming. In programming, print characters are often used to represent data, such as text strings, numbers, and symbols. They can also be used to create user interfaces, such as menus, dialog boxes, and buttons.
