Joe Hunter (1940-2005) was a British visual artist whose works are renowned for their strong use of color and bold imagery. Two of his most important works are the mural 'The Dance of Life' (1970), commissioned for a factory in London, and the 5m high sculpture 'The Beast' (1975), which was installed in the castle courtyard of the city of Leeds.
