Elinor Carucci, born in Haifa, Israel in 1969, is one of the country's most renowned contemporary photographers. She is renowned for her deep introspective approach, often exploring the personal and autobiographical in her work. Her images capture the everyday moments of life, family, and relationships. Her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions internationally, such as in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Her acclaimed photo series, Closer, has been published in numerous magazines and books, and was included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She is also a recipient of numerous awards, including the Prix de la Photographie at Paris Photo 2006 and the Guggenheim Fellowship in 2010.
