Ping Pong Table

A ping pong table is a specialized table used for playing the sport of table tennis. It is typically rectangular in shape and has a playing surface that is divided into two equal halves by a net. The surface of the table is usually made from laminated wood and is covered with a thin layer of low-friction coating, which allows the ball to bounce and spin with ease. The table is surrounded by a border, which is typically 2.54 cm wide and is used to keep the ball from bouncing off the table. The net is suspended over a metal frame and is held in place by clamps. The height of the net is set at 15.25 cm, which is the standard height for competitive play. Ping pong tables come in a variety of sizes, with the standard size being 2.74 meters long, 1.525 meters wide, and 76 cm high. However, there are also smaller sizes available for recreational play, such as mini ping pong tables that can be placed on top of a regular table. Some ping pong tables are designed for outdoor use and are made from materials that can withstand the elements. In addition to the table itself, players also use specialized paddles, which are also known as rackets or bats, and small, lightweight balls. The paddles are typically made from wood and have a rubber coating on the surface that comes into contact with the ball. The balls used in table tennis are small and lightweight, with a diameter of 40 mm and a weight of 2.7 grams.
