Alessandra Sanguinetti is an American artist and photographer born in New York City in 1968. She is well known for her documentary-style photography that often tells stories of diverse characters and places. Her work has been featured in many international publications and she has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. Sanguinetti is known for her images that are imbued with a sense of mystery and emotion. Some of her most notable works include the series The Adventures of Guille and Belinda, which follows the main characters in their everyday lives, and The Old Country, which documents the culture and people of rural Argentina. She has also published two books, On the Sixth Day (2005) and The Adventures of Guille and Belinda (2009). Sanguinetti is an important figure in contemporary art and photography and her work is widely celebrated.
