Austin Cooper

Austin Cooper was a renowned British artist who was active from the 1840s to the 1870s. He was a renowned landscape painter with a focus on English country scenes. His works often featured rural views, coastal scenes and urban scenes. He was one of the most influential English landscape painters of his generation. Some of his most famous works include The Devonshire Coast, The River Medway and A Rural Road. He was highly praised for his skill in portraying light and shade, as well as his attention to detail. Austin Cooper laid the foundations for later generations of landscape painters to follow.
