Andrew Stasik is an American artist renowned for his vibrant expressionist works. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 1966. His large-scale paintings and installations feature bold hues and abstract landscapes. As an emerging artist in the early 90s, Stasik had solo exhibitions at numerous galleries on the east coast. His work was later commissioned for public spaces such as hospitals, schools, and city streets. Stasik has exhibited in New York, Berlin, London, and Rome. Notable works from his career include the monumental, site-specific painting installation The Last Work, exhibited in the Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, in 2012; the painting series Broken Surface, and the installation piece Infinite Sunlight, which was acquired by the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis for its permanent collection.
