Aubrey Schwartz

Aubrey Schwartz is a notable American artist of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. He is known for his vibrant use of color and for his ability to capture emotional nuance through his use of texture and line. Schwartz has exhibited in some of the most prestigious galleries both nationally and internationally, and his work can be found in the permanent collections of numerous museums, including the National Gallery in Washington, DC. His works often draw upon his own experiences growing up in the Midwest and reflect on issues of identity and belonging. Notable among his oeuvre is The Starry Night series, a collection of densely interwoven abstracts that evoke the night sky and its captivating beauty, and Family Portrait, a series of pointillist landscapes that express the intimate relationship between nature and the human form.
