Randal Kleiser is not only a renowned American artist, but also a highly accomplished film director. He was born on July 20, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and attended the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. Kleiser's film career began with his directorial debut, Grease (1978), which became a massive commercial success and is now considered a classic of the musical genre. He went on to direct a number of other successful films, including The Blue Lagoon (1980), Big Top Pee-wee (1988), and White Fang (1991). In addition to his work in film, Kleiser has also directed a number of television productions, including episodes of Marcus Welby, M.D. and The New Twilight Zone. He has also directed a number of music videos, including Olivia Newton-John's Physical and Debbie Gibson's Shake Your Love. Kleiser's work has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is known for his ability to bring a sense of wonder and magic to his films, as well as his skill in working with actors and creating visually stunning scenes.
