Anthony Cox is an American artist esteemed for his abstract, surrealist-inspired paintings. He is renowned for his incorporation of vibrant color and texture that is often juxtaposed with altered everyday objects in his works. In 1954, he held his first solo exhibition at the Stable Gallery and since then, he has gained attention in the international art world. Notable works by Cox include 'Dusky Elegance' (2008), 'Chromatic Composition' (2009), 'Abstraction in Blue' (2013), and 'Forever Changed' (2016).
