Alex Ku, born in the United States of America in 1961, is considered one of the most influential American artists of our time. His works often consist of sculptures, installations, paintings and drawings that explore the notions of space and negative spaces. He has had solo exhibitions at several prestigious galleries and museums both in the United States and abroad. Several of his most important works include 'The Void', an installation which consists of a large-scale vertical sculpture of white marble and glass, and 'The Source', an interactive installation which enlists the help of visitors to create a multilayered piece of abstract art. In addition to his sculptures and installations, Alex Ku has also created a series of famous site-specific murals which are often inspired by his love of nature and the outdoors.
