Annee Olofsson

Annee Olofsson (b.1956, Stockholm, Sweden) is a renowned Swedish artist known for her expansive portfolio of paintings, prints and sculptures. Through her art she aims to explore the metaphysical and spiritual aspects of life and the relationship between humans and nature. Olofsson’s artworks are often inspired by themes of togetherness, transformation and self-reflection, and her pieces are widely celebrated for their evocative, melancholic and immersing qualities. She has exhibited widely in Europe, most notably at the Moderna Museet Stockholm, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Hangaram Art Museum in Seoul. Olofsson is best known for her paintings such as ‘Journey to the North’ (2001), ‘Midsummer in Solitude’ (2006) and ‘The Inner Voice’ (2009), which have received critical acclaim for the way they evoke emotion and contemplation.
