Akio Okumura

Akio Okumura is a prominent Japanese artist whose works span a variety of mediums. Okumura's career began in the early 1950s in Tokyo, and since then, he has exhibited his work in dozens of countries across the world. He is known for being one of the leading figures of the modern Japanese art scene and has influenced many generations of Japanese painters. His most celebrated works include the abstract painting, The Red Storm, the oil painting, The White Wave, and the minimalist sculpture, The Cosmic Cycle. In addition to his extensive art career, Okumura also works as a teacher and mentor to younger generations of aspiring artists.
