Ambient Music Design is a style of electronic music featuring a variety of sound effects and subtle melodies. The genre consists of minimalistic instrumentation, typically with two or three instruments, and ambient synthesizers. Ambient Music Design is often characterized by its soundscapes, a sound that creates an immersive atmosphere. Brian Eno, a British producer and composer, is considered a pioneer of the genre, releasing his debut ambient album Ambient 1: Music for Airports in 1978. Since then, many artists have followed in his footsteps, creating influential works such as The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld and Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works.
