Arturo Vittori

Arturo Vittori was not only an artist, but also an architect and designer, known for his innovative and sustainable designs. He was born in Padua, Italy in 1971 and studied architecture at the University of Venice. Vittori's work was heavily influenced by his travels and experiences in Africa, where he witnessed the challenges faced by communities without access to clean water and electricity. This inspired him to create designs that could address these issues and improve the lives of people in developing countries. One of Vittori's most notable designs is the Warka Water, a tower that collects and filters rainwater to provide clean drinking water for communities in rural areas. The tower is made from natural materials and can be easily assembled by local communities. Another design is the Warka House, a modular and sustainable housing solution that can be adapted to different environments and needs. Vittori's work has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including the 2013 World Design Impact Prize and the 2014 Curry Stone Design Prize. He has also been featured in major publications and exhibitions around the world.
