Alessandro Raho is a British artist known for his thoughtful and provocative exploration of poetic figuration. He has presented solo exhibitions at institutions such as the Whitechapel Gallery, London, the Contemporary Art Museum, Houston, and the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, as well as participating in major international biennials from around the world. He has created many works that explore the relationship between painting, photography and film, as well as works that investigate the relationship between art and society. Examples of his work include the painterly photographic series ‘We Lost Each Other in Open Space’, the abstract film ‘The Passenger’, and the immersive installation ‘The Thread’.
