The center, designed by architects Frederic Rolland, Jia Jiong, and Wang Hanlu, encompasses a total land area of 146,204.13 square meters with a building footprint of 26,356.86 square meters and a construction area of 24,440.19 square meters. The facility seamlessly integrates traditional Jiangnan architectural elements with contemporary design principles, featuring an intelligent air smart runway with hybrid plastic paving, professional sports venues including basketball courts with SES rubber suspended flooring, badminton courts, volleyball facilities, tennis courts, and football fields. The design incorporates a three-dimensional ribbon concept that connects various functional areas through overhead bridges and fitness footpaths, while the facade renovation draws inspiration from traditional wooden structures and pivot frames, reinterpreted in a modern context. The center's landscape design notably incorporates local ginkgo trees and their distinctive leaf patterns, creating a unique visual identity that resonates with the local culture. The facility's technological infrastructure includes real-time exercise monitoring systems, smart access controls, and advanced LED display systems, making it a pioneer in intelligent sports facility design. The project, which was completed in an impressive 100-day timeframe, demonstrates exceptional achievement in architectural innovation, earning it the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to public sports infrastructure design.
