Zhangjiagang Marriott Hotel Hospitality Interior Design is an award-winning architectural interior design project completed in 2019, showcasing a harmonious blend of Oriental aesthetics and contemporary luxury hospitality design. Located in the economic and cultural center of Zhangjiagang, a significant port city along the Yangtze River, this expansive 55,000-square-meter development encompasses sophisticated spaces including 29,000 square meters of guest rooms, 6,000 square meters of food and beverage outlets, 12,000 square meters of ballrooms and meeting facilities, and 3,000 square meters of recreational amenities. The design philosophy draws profound inspiration from traditional Chinese Shanshui paintings, interpreting the cultural essence of mountains and water through modern materials, textures, and finishes. The project features 323 spacious guest rooms and suites with open-plan bathrooms and panoramic skyline views, while the food and beverage spaces offer diverse culinary experiences through Chinese, Japanese, and international cuisine venues. The designers, Paul Liu and Hank Xia, emphasized sustainability and longevity in their material selection, incorporating eco-friendly and non-toxic materials throughout the project. The design successfully balances operational efficiency with aesthetic excellence, employing perception theory to enhance guest experience and spatial relationships. This sophisticated project, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining cultural sensitivity with contemporary hospitality design, setting new standards for luxury hotel interiors in the region.
