Yango Starry Bay Sales Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project located in Quanzhou City, China, specifically designed to showcase residential properties while paying homage to the region's rich porcelain-making heritage. The 540-square-meter space masterfully integrates traditional Chinese kiln architecture with contemporary design elements, creating a harmonious blend of historical significance and modern functionality. The design, conceived by Yu Chao and Guanghui Zeng, draws profound inspiration from the ancient porcelain kilns of Dehua City, deconstructing and reimagining these historical structures within a modern context. The center's distinctive aesthetic is achieved through the thoughtful application of materials including brick, waterstone, bronze-drawing stainless steel, and latex paint, with particular emphasis on the rhythmic use of red brick elements that create compelling patterns of solidity and void. The architectural composition features prominent arch elements that establish a strong connection to local cultural heritage while serving practical spatial functions. The interior layout is carefully orchestrated to facilitate effective property presentations and client interactions, incorporating sophisticated design solutions that enhance the customer experience. This exceptional project, which took approximately two months to complete, demonstrates remarkable attention to cultural sensitivity and commercial functionality, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The design's success lies in its ability to create an immersive environment that not only serves its commercial purpose but also celebrates and preserves local cultural heritage through contemporary design language.
