Yanghe Personal Letters Baijiu Packaging is an innovative packaging design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese calligraphy, ecological consciousness, and contemporary packaging functionality. Created by designers Zhaoxin Zhu and Dongyan Ruan, this sophisticated packaging solution draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Suqian, Jiangsu province, renowned for its exceptional liquor craftsmanship. The design's distinctive features include a ceramic bottle with matte white glaze, whose form mirrors the local mountainous landscape, while its cap ingeniously doubles as a drinking vessel. The outer packaging, crafted from environmentally conscious corrugated paper, creates a sculptural representation of the regional topography, measuring 280mm x 85mm x 200mm. The design's conceptual foundation pays homage to the literary traditions of Jiangnan, incorporating elements of traditional calligraphy through the aesthetic presentation of handwritten letters, while simultaneously mapping the local ecological environment. This thoughtful integration of cultural and environmental elements earned the design a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, recognizing its innovative approach to combining functionality with artistic expression.
