Located within the Mayangxi Tourist Resort in Changtai County, Zhangzhou, this 925-square-meter space demonstrates masterful integration of imperial architectural principles through its symmetrical layout and cultural symbolism. The design's centerpiece revolves around the innovative interpretation of the Chinese birdcage motif, which appears throughout the space in various forms including screens, lanterns, staircases, and furniture pieces. This recurring element serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, creating elegant spatial partitions while maintaining visual fluidity. The project, completed in 2017, addresses modern urbanites' desire for cultural connection and tranquility by incorporating elements of traditional Chinese landscape design, featuring carefully placed trees and ornamental stones that echo the classical Chinese garden aesthetic.
