Xinguang E-Sports Animation Island Office is an innovative architectural complex designed to serve as a creative hub combining game production and animation research and development, located in the new urban area of Lianyungang, China. This Gold A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2020, encompasses a site area of 48,925 square meters with a planned space of 125,300 square meters, featuring a distinctive design inspired by the adjacent Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area and Xinghai Lake Park. The architectural concept draws from Zhang Jiuling's Looking at Lushan Waterfall Spring in Lake Estuary, manifesting in stacked and retracted board buildings that pay homage to the mountainous surroundings. The complex incorporates four specialized squares - Meng Dimensional Square, Chaoren Animation Square, League of Legends Square, and Star Square - connected by an innovative life sharing platform on the third floor's green corridor. The design emphasizes vertical greenery, public platforms, and diverse walking paths, creating a harmonious blend of natural and built environments. A 200-meter-wide landscape pool mirrors Xinghai Lake, while the cascading structure ensures optimal views of the surrounding landscape. The facility integrates multiple sections including science and technology enterprises, e-sports culture, parent-child animation, and business services, all designed to foster creativity and collaboration while maintaining environmental sustainability. The project's innovative approach to combining professional spaces with recreational areas, along with its strategic integration of green technology and sustainable design principles, earned it recognition at the prestigious A' Design Award competition.
