Xiaoshanxiang Pig Brand Design is an innovative agricultural product branding initiative that exemplifies the intersection of traditional farming practices and contemporary visual communication. This comprehensive brand identity system, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, centers around the unique concept of pigs sleeping on straw beds, utilizing this distinctive farming method as a cornerstone for its visual narrative. The design employs a sophisticated combination of light colors and playful illustrations to create a cohesive brand experience that effectively communicates the product's rural origins and premium quality. The project encompasses multiple design elements, including product packaging utilizing 260g white cardboard with screen printing and silver stamping processes, promotional materials, and various cultural products such as regional maps and promotional posters. The packaging design incorporates advanced air-conditioning technology to maintain product freshness while adhering to strict quality standards. The visual system successfully differentiates itself in the market through its unique illustration-based approach, departing from conventional meat packaging designs that typically rely on product photography. This strategic design solution not only enhances the commercial value of local agricultural products but also serves as a vehicle for promoting regional cultural heritage and supporting rural economic development. The project, developed between November 2022 and July 2023, demonstrates how thoughtful design can bridge traditional agricultural practices with modern consumer expectations, while contributing to rural revitalization initiatives.
