Xiabu Xiabu Restaurant is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the traditional dining space through a cosmic-inspired architectural concept, completed in December 2020 in Beijing. The 397-square-meter establishment represents a groundbreaking approach to restaurant design, where geometric circles and constituent elements of point, line, and surface are masterfully integrated to transform a rectangular interior space into a symbolic representation of the galaxy. The design philosophy centers on creating a relaxed party and free happiness atmosphere, utilizing sophisticated spatial organization that includes open areas, semi-open sections, and private dining spaces. The restaurant's distinctive feature is its three-tiered lighting system, specifically engineered to create different ambiances during daytime, sunset, and nighttime hours, each conveying unique humanistic aesthetics and temporal experiences. The interior architecture employs premium materials including terrazzo, fireproof board, aluminum baking varnish, latex paint, and artificial stone to achieve its contemporary aesthetic. The layout ingeniously incorporates cosmic symbolism, with the high bar counter representing the sun, round deck areas symbolizing Earth's revolution, and the seasoning platform depicting lunar motion. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates exceptional innovation in spatial design, successfully creating an environment that encourages patrons to appreciate life's simple pleasures while dining.
