Sahiplex Office Space is an innovative office facility design completed in 2012, located in the Bostanci district of Istanbul, Turkey, that exemplifies cutting-edge workplace architecture and interior design principles. The 5,000-square-meter facility, spread across two floors within a 120-meter-long elliptical space, represents a revolutionary approach to contemporary workplace design, particularly for technology companies. The space features numerous distinctive elements, including a unique tartan track circumnavigating the office perimeter, basketball courts, and specialized leisure areas, all thoughtfully integrated to promote employee wellbeing and creativity. The design overcame significant architectural challenges, working within a ceiling height of 290 centimeters and incorporating structural beams at 260 centimeters, through innovative space utilization including mezzanine floors in amenity areas. The facility showcases advanced technological integration with intelligent meeting rooms, automated lighting systems, and computer-controlled heating and cooling systems. Notable environmental considerations include superior fresh air circulation rates of 35-45 m³/h per person, ambient noise levels of 69.4 dBA in general areas and 30 dBA in meeting rooms, significantly outperforming national standards. The space incorporates ergonomic furniture, professional fitness facilities, healthy food services, and a distinctive rainforest-themed brainstorming room. This exemplary workplace design, which won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining functionality with employee comfort and wellbeing, setting new standards for modern office design.
