PurPle Jade Villa Residential Landscape is an exemplary urban residential landscape design project located in Beijing's central residential area, distinguished by its innovative approach to harmonizing modern architectural elements with natural surroundings. Completed in 2021, this Bronze A' Design Award-winning project represents a sophisticated interpretation of the urban villa concept, emphasizing the return to nature while maintaining high-end living standards. The landscape design, conceived by Natsuki Moriba along with team members NAKAZATO TATSUYA, Yuxiang Bai, and Xin Lu, masterfully integrates various landscape styles including hydrophilic, park-adjacent, and enclosed courtyard designs. The project features four strategically positioned single villas that enclose water features from lake tributaries, creating a dynamic interplay between open and private spaces through thoughtful vegetation placement. The design's ecological emphasis is evident in its extensive forest coverage, incorporation of rare plant species, and the successful creation of a habitat that attracts diverse wildlife, including peacocks, cranes, and various wild birds. The landscape planning demonstrates exceptional attention to seasonal variations, incorporating elements that ensure year-round visual interest through careful consideration of natural color, fragrance, form, and sound.
