P House Residential House

P house Residential House is an innovative residential architectural project that exemplifies contemporary Brazilian modernist design principles through its distinctive puzzle-like composition of rotating volumes around a central nucleus. Located in the Morumbi neighborhood of São Paulo, this sophisticated dwelling spans three floors across a 773-square-meter built area, offering panoramic views of the Pinheiros River valley and the city's corporate skyline. The architectural composition consists of three bare concrete frames that revolve around a continuous staircase integrated into a structural wall, creating dynamic spatial relationships between private and semiprivate areas. The structure's innovative design features freijo wooden folding panels that enclose the living spaces and bedrooms, facilitating natural light filtration and cross-ventilation, while the top-floor family room is enclosed in glass to maximize views. The program incorporates multiple living spaces including a garden, a terrace with fireplace and barbecue, home theater, dining and living rooms, four bedrooms, an office, and various auxiliary spaces. The project, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in spatial innovation and structural integrity. The cantilever design serves dual purposes, defining the main entrance while providing shade for the terrace, exemplifying the project's thoughtful integration of form and function. Completed in 2012 after a five-year development period, this residential masterpiece showcases the sophisticated application of bare concrete and wooden elements to create a harmonious balance between architectural innovation and practical living spaces.
