Located in Taipei, Taiwan, this aesthetic medical facility distinguishes itself through its thoughtful implementation of the Less is More philosophy, creating a serene urban retreat within a bustling city center. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully incorporates earthy tones and less-refined materials to cultivate a relaxing environment. The space features innovative architectural elements, including custom-made windows that facilitate natural light diffusion and strategically placed block units that create private corners for guest comfort. The clinic's design language is articulated through several distinctive features: a customized ceiling lamp that preserves hand-drawn silhouettes and creates diffused lighting through translucent materials, walls constructed using fabric-weaving-inspired techniques, and a signature entrance vase that mimics plant stoma tissue. The project's sophisticated circulation design eliminates traditional reception counters and waiting areas in favor of an appointment-only system that maximizes privacy and efficiency. Notable material choices include volcanic stone platforms and diatomite walls in the courtyard, while the intentional use of pure iron in decorative elements introduces a temporal dimension to the space through natural oxidation processes, metaphorically reflecting the transformative nature of aesthetic medicine.
